The National Security Agency Office of the Inspector General, the Defense Criminal Investigative Service, and the Acting United States Attorney for the District of Maryland announced that a federal grand jury has indicated a NSA contractor on federal charges of submitting false claims and making false statements, in connection with the hours claimed to have been worked on a federal contract. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. If convicted, the contractor faces a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison for each of the 19 counts of submitting false claims and for one count of making false statements.
