The National Security Agency (NSA) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) publicly released an unclassified version of its Semiannual Report (SAR) to Congress summarizing the OIG's oversight work during the first half of fiscal year 2026.
The SAR describes a number of oversight products completed during the reporting period. In the SAR message from Deputy Inspector General Kevin Gerrity, he emphasizes the OIG's role in creating positive change through impactful and independent oversight, and underscores the value of the team's work to NSA, the Intelligence Community, the warfighter, and the Nation.
As required by the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended (IG Act), the SAR was transmitted to Congress on 22 May 2026.
